Stays at safe temperatures after 3+ hours of nonstop gaming. I don't normally write reviews but I can't recommend this product enough.ĭemolishes BF3 at 2560x1440 (EVERYTHING MAXED!!!) I think I'm staying on the green team this product just feels so well built and works so wonderfully. I don't see a reason for most people to purchase a GTX 680 when they can have this card for $100 or so cheaper. I'm really glad I didn't wait for the 4GB 670's to come out I wouldn't of used it.

I know a handful of games like BF3 or mods on skyrim might go above that, but I still think by the time we need more than 2GB of VRAM these cards won't be able keep up anyways. I was worried about VRAM usage in surround but I have yet to see anything above 1.4 GB yet. I had them in eyefinity and always had screen tearing on one monitor but this card does not have that problem. After using 's in crossfire I decided to switch. Overall Review: These cards are simply stunning.

EVGA's software should work with their own products. EVGA precision doesn't work well with it so I had to use afterburner to see what the card was running at in game. The 680 backplate fits but it'd be nice to have one that says 670 not 680. For The Win Cards normally come with backplates but there isn't even an optional one available.

I hope most people purchasing this card don't need them, either way I'm nit-picking. Accessories are a bit lacking, 2 cables that are molex to PCI and a DVI to VGA adapter. I paid $440 per card directly from EVGA, it stinks that they dropped the price so fast. I purchased some sleeved cables and they went on great though.

More of a small annoyance than anything else. EVGA has a great warranty and great customer supportĬons: -Stacked 6 pin connectors can make it difficult if you have stiff cables on your power supply. One cards boosts itself to 1176 MHZ and the other 1150 MHZ without any overclocking Very reasonably priced compared to the other cards on the market Reference Heatsink that exhausts hot air out of the case, It's also very quiet, I can't hear it unless I set it to 80% or above. Pros: -GTX 680 PCB- None of the problems of the reference 670's and lots of waterblocks available. Overall Review: Great card, don't know that I would recommend it at the price increase over the stock edition, but that isn't worth knocking any points off for. It doesn't save your overclock settings and it is just in general unstable. The precision software that you would use to overclock the card is trash at the moment. Temperatures were not as low as the hype on these 6xx cards led me to believe.

I would not have bought this card at that price. No way should this be $40 more than the stock version. Did I mention this looks nicer than the SC edition card in the case?Ĭons: The price is a con.

Looks awesome in the case! This card uses the GTX 680 design and it has a full length GTX 680 PCB which means that the waterblocks for the 680 should fit the 670 with no problems. I had the EVGA SC edition card that could only reach about 1240mhz stable and the For the Win card reaches 1280mhz stable, both overclock on the memory about the same. I think the big benchmark a lot of people like to hear about is Battlefield 3 performance, and this card without overclocking at all, averaged 70-75 FPS in 64 man maps over the course of about 10 sessions. Plays every game I have thrown at it above 60 FPS with settings maxed. The card overclocked typically maxes out around 70 Celsius with fan on 80%, it runs hotter than my old GTX 570 SC card, but 70 Celsius is fine for a GPU. Pros: Card runs coolish and the fan isn't super loud at full speed, it can barely be heard over my NZXT performance fans.
